LOCATED 3 km from the city of Castlegar, BC, in the heart of the
Kootenays. 45km distance to Nelson, and 40km to Trail. The terrain
is quite rugged; the dividend is the high elevation vistas.
Majestic mountains, scenic rivers, waterfalls, lush green forests,
and wildlife abound. The climate is ideal for any horse and rider to
enjoy our wonderful trails.
Our tack is all western; the hills are much more user friendly
under a western style saddle. After all, this is the renowned wild
west Kootenay area in which we operate. Our friendly horses are
Morgan, and Arab cross, we have six devoted horses in service with
the potential to create and or acquire more when required. All the
horses have been trained and raised by the owner, Phillip Morris.
One day at a time; instruction, horse and accommodations, are
negotiable and encouraged for any one who wishes to enjoy horses a
bit more, young or old, there is one exception, our horses all weigh
in at just a thousand pounds, we will not load our horses with over
25% of their body weight for very long.
So, leave the kitchen sink at home, and come enjoy our ranch’s many entertaining activities. Most people cannot be rushed into having a good time; it usually takes some patience, practice and coaching.
